Ever heard of gliomas? These primary brain tumors arise within the brain, but we don't know the cell of origin. There are multiple grades of gliomas -- grade II, III and IV, with grade IV being the most malignant. Glioblastoma multiforme is a fast-growing brain or spinal cord tumor. It affects the brain more often than the spinal cord. These tumors grow from glial cells which form the (supportive) tissue of the brain and spinal cord.
